Eze-Lapä Diamond chainsaw sharpeners are designed to make the job of sharpening chainsaws easy. They come with a precision depth gage and angle guide, all you need is a moto tool or electric hand drill. The Diamond wheel does not break down maintaining size. This produces a correct radius on the tooth face. This allows the chain to properly remove the wood chips from the cut. A chain with a reduced radius generates heat and tends to jam in the cut.

The Model CSK, a complete chain saw sharpening kit.
The Emergency truck of the Litchfield fire department uses Carbide chainsaw blades to vent involved buildings. Only Diamond will cut Carbide. They use more then one blade and always have one out to be sharpened. They realized in an emergency they might need to sharpen on site and purchased a CSK set. This set comes in a small plastic box and contains a 12 Volt moto tool, one of each of the three sharpeners with full instructions. The moto tool has a unique connector. It will plug into an auto cigarette lighter or break apart and clip to battery terminals. The chain is easily sharpened right on the bar. This set also is being used by commercial woodcutters and allows them to sharpen in the woods.

I always heard what a pain in the neck sharpening chain saw blades was. So after I had completely dulled three chain saw blades cutting railroad ties. I had to do something, so I purchased the ez sharpener I did not know what size to get so I bought the kit with all three sizes to be safe. The manual that came with saw did not say what size file to use. To my surprise and relief all three blades after sharpening worked perfect. I was not sure I knew what I was doing, but the instruction manual that came with sharpener was very helpful. |
The Model CSG with precision guide and a 1/8" shank.
Whenever you sharpen a steel tool with an aluminum oxide grinding wheel, you take the chance of overheating the steel. This can draw it down, causing it to soften. This is why a bench grinder comes with a water container to cool the steel before it has a chance to draw. Diamond cuts the steel tool without undue pressure and the heat buildup. The Eze-Lap Diamond CSG sharpeners come with a precision guide to give perfect depth and the proper angle. They come in three sizes, 3/16”, 5/32” and 7/32”, which cover all of the chainsaw sizes. Realistically how many can I expect to sharpen with this device? I have sixteen inch bars. I've done four blades with it so far. Do I just keep using it until I see no more filings? Have taken them out and tried them out, and they are sharp. Very satisfied with the product. I am a rep for maintenance equipment here in Iowa, don't sell saws but my customers are people who use them. Have not seen your products on shelves here in the state, do you have retailers here?
